Alexis Pashales Scores in the 90th Minute to Keep Stockton Undefeated
Stockton– The Stockton Cargo Soccer Club nabbed their first ever win over perennial power San Francisco Glens SC, 2-1 on a goal from Alexis Pashales in the 90th Minute on Saturday Night. Saturday Night’s game was a toasty one, with temperature at Kick-Off 99 degrees. The win keeps Stockton undefeated on the season with a 3-0-2 record and 11points on the season, placing them 2nd in the NorCal Division, called by many the toughest Division in the USL W League, only 2 points behind San Juan SC.
After a scoreless First Half that saw the Cargo dominate play and create chances galore, the San Francisco Glens opened scoring in the 50th on a well placed ball by Mia Beltran. The Glens lead didn’t last long however, as in the 54th minute, Alexis Pashales served a well played ball to Maleah Evans who beat the Glens Goalkeeper with an excellent shot to even the score at 1-1. The Cargo continued to dominate play, and it finally payed off, as Evans returned the favor, and served up a ball to Pashales, who slotted home with winning goal in the 90th minute. Stockton outshot San Francisco 10-4 on the game.
