Hannah Diaz
Shareholder
Known for building with grit, creativity, and a player-first mentality, Hannah has helped shape
Stockton Cargo SC into more than a team — a reflection of Stockton itself: resilient, overlooked,
and unapologetically proud of where it comes from.
Originally from Middletown, Hannah attended Saint Mary’s College of California, graduating
early with a double major in Politics and Philosophy before immediately beginning her
professional football career. She went on to play in the first divisions of Japan and France, as
well as in the National Women’s Soccer League. After retiring, she planned to disappear into the
redwoods of Northern California to write fiction and poetry, but instead found Cargo — and with
it, a home for the knowledge, perspective, and experience she developed competing within the
women’s game at its highest levels.
Outside of Cargo, Hannah is also the co-founder of Open Goal Inc., an organization focused on
reshaping access and opportunity within the global game. Her work continues to center around
building honest, player-first environments while reimagining what women’s football can look like
when culture, community, and ambition are allowed to grow together.
